Term 2 2016

Hi folks,

I hope everyone enjoyed the Easter break.  This post is more pertinent to Te Tira members but could be viewed as quite insigtful as far as my administrative skills are concerned!

It would seem that I can’t count past 4 (conductors dilemma) as I miscalculated how many weeks there were in term 1.  Turns out there were 9, not 10.

So…. when we start back April 4, that will be the last week of term 1 for those in the choir who pay by the term.  Fees for a 10 week long term 2 will be collected from April 11.

Your’s in song

Rehearsal Reminder

Just a reminder that for the month of February, rehearsals start at 8pm (due to a double booking) and run through to the usual finish time of 9:30pm.  We will have a short break in there to stretch your legs but no time for a cuppa I’m afraid.

See you tonight!

Reading Music 101

A great little video in circulation about the basics of reading music.  Whilst it’s not a requirement for singing with Te Tira, it’s always good to learn new things!

A fabulous start to the term

Well, two weeks in and we are thoroughly enjoying being back together and tackling our new repertoire.  Songs include Deep Peace – Bill Douglas, Salley Gardens – Leisch and O Cio Da Terra a beautiful harvest song from Chile.

Te Tira also has a new email address.  Either use the our websites contact form or email sing@tetira.com.au.

Ooops!

It would seem I had a brush with dyslexia over the break!

Flyers have been distributed around Bardon and at a performance a couple of weeks ago with an incorrect venue address.

TE TIRA MEETS AT BARDON COMMUNITY HALL, 247B (not 274B as advertised!!!) SIMPSONS RD, BARDON.  PARKING AT BOWMAN PARK.

Hello 2016!

Monday January 25 saw Te Tira gather together for another year of song.  And how wonderful it was to hear the crew lend their voices to new repertoire:  Deep Peace, Salley Gardens and O Cio De Terra.

Many members were still on holidays or taking advantage of a long weekend.  So we expect to be in full force next week.

New members are always welcome.  Why not make joining a choir one of your new year resolutions or if that”s not your thing, just resolve to explore your voice in a safe and fun environment.

We meet at Bardon Community Hall, 247B Simpsons Rd, Bardon @ 7:30pm.  Parking at Bowman Park.
